People often ask, “How do you work in events with the long hours, working on weekends, and dealing with bridezillas?” For us, the answer is simple: because we get to make dreams come true. One of our most memorable moments was getting to be a part of Lindsay and Will’s dream wedding. Right away, our Client Relationship Manager, Melissa, connected with Lindsay with tons of laughs and stories over the phone. The fun didn’t just stop over the phone though. When the Feast team finally met the couple for their tasting, it was as if we had been reunited with old friends! It was apparent that not only were they a perfect match for each other, but this wedding was the perfect match for our catering team.
If you didn’t know by now, we love themes and Lindsay and Will’s wedding theme was one we knew we wanted to be a part of…a dinosaur themed wedding, perfectly located at the San Diego Natural History Museum! They wanted the works, with dinosaur place card holders, a cute dinosaur cake topper, dinosaur centerpieces, and everything else you could have imagined. We were so inspired by this incredibly unique theme that we custom made a centerpiece for their tasting with some succulents and golden dinosaur figurines! After their tasting and getting to know the couple more, we decided to take the the two golden dinosaurs from the centerpiece and transform them into the most adorable bride and groom dinosaurs with the bow tie, veil and all! We then hand delivered these cute guys (along with a bottle of wine) to Lindsay’s work. To say they were a hit is an understatement! Lindsay’s reaction said it all, she was wild about them and we couldn’t have been more ecstatic.
We didn’t know then that the golden bride and groom dinosaurs would make such an impact, but when Lindsay shared a few teaser photos from their engagement shoot with us, we were surprised to see that our golden bride and groom dinosaurs made an appearance in some of their engagement pictures!! It was a proud moment for the Feast team to see that our personal touch made such a positive impact on this couple before their wedding! It really doesn’t get any better than this.
Our golden dinosaur’s journey was still not complete though. Little did we know, the golden dinosaurs would make yet another (very special) appearance! Fast forward one year later to the most stunning wedding day ever. As we prepared for the reception, the Event Planner, Kristin, (who is fantastic btw), pulled from a box the golden bride and groom dinosaurs! We soon discovered that Lindsay and Will expressed to Kristin that they just HAD to have these dinosaurs as part of their centerpiece for their sweetheart table, and just like that, our golden dinosaurs finally ended their journey in a beautiful bouquet of flowers with these amazing individuals. We love making dreams come true and after having the opportunity to be a part of making Lindsay and Will's dream wedding dream come true, we're 100% more certain that we love what we do.
