It's been nearly a year since we first met Tessa and Julia. Nothing was more apparent to us than the love and respect that these two had for each other. Naturally, we were thrilled to be a part of their special wedding day at The New Children's Museum.
So much love went into every detail of this wedding from the 40 handmade planter boxes and the home grown succulents to the specially built ceremonial arch.
141 handmade wedding favors were placed on each place setting.
Even the wedding topper matching their ceremonial arch was made by Julia, the bride!
On the menu they had a Fiesta theme including Chicken Mole Edible Spoons, Street Corn Salad, and Ceviche Cups for their appetizers. For the main course, guests enjoyed Roasted Chickpea Salad, Steak Ranchero with Chimichurri sauce, Veracruz-Style Fish, Grilled Vegetables, Plantain Chips and the brides' must-have... Patatas Bravas.
Ending the night, the brides took a walk outside the museum through a crowd of their wedding guests with sparklers for a picture perfect op and then were surprised by a live Mariachi band!
What a memorable night! To top it off, as a thank you gift, they presented us with these beautifully handmade metal hands that spelled out "Love" in ASL and hands shaping a heart. We were so incredibly touched by their thoughtful gift of "love" and appreciation.
There's no question about it...Tessa and Julia were meant for each other! Watch their day of bliss unfold in this beautiful wedding video captured by Ryan Films San Diego!
“Thank you so much for taking such special care of us and making our day even more perfect. We knew walking out of our tasting with you that we had to have you guys cater our wedding. We have heard nothing but compliments about the food. It was delicious.”
